The Human Resources Association is the local chapter for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). We became an affiliate chapter of SHRM in 1986 with the purpose of bringing together human resource professionals.

Ou current membership includes over 100 human resource professionals from a variety of organizations in the Ft. Pierce & Port St. Lucie, Florida areas.

The goal of HRA is to promote a high standard of excellence for human resource practitioners in the area through the following activities:

• Professional development - Meetings, seminars, workshops, and participation in regional and national conventions.
• Networking opportunities - HRA provides a forum for meeting and networking with other HR professionals, including participation in meetings, committees and other special events.
• Current Events - Information on topics of interest and current events through articles, e-mail announcements, and the HRA quarterly newsletter.
• Community involvement - HRA contributes to the community by participating in board approved special charitable events.
